Guild members lost one of their founding members this month. Jean Heckelmoser died on July 14, 2026. Jean was talented in all manner of the fiber arts. She not only wove beautiful fabric, but she also then sewed it into tailored clothing. Jean was also active in the Hurricane Hookers group and always supportive not only in her attitude but by her willingness to try new methods, techniques, and entirely different media. While all around her slowly worked on their projects, Jean persevered and showed up time and again with a beautifully finished piece. The picture below sums it up – a smile for everyone. We will miss her.
